Kelli and Tina have upped their online game by holding Facebook livestream sessions on Facebook and video tutorials on our Youtube channel. You can talk directly with Tina or Kelli if you show up to the BlackSheep FaceBook Page on Mon, Wed, and Fri around Noon-1pm Oregon Time. If you miss these we put many of them up afterwards on our YouTube channel.
In each live stream we teach a quick tutorial. So far we have blocked, taught some basic tattings skills, colorwork, lace-techniques, adding beads to your knit/crochet, and more. On Friday’s YouTube channel Tina is going to talk about knitting needles: what brand/styles are the best for your individual needs and knitting style.
Binn Ghulbain Shrug Knit Along
Tina is holding a Binn Ghulbain knit along on the BlackSheep Youtube Channel. If you want to get your kit or pattern you can knit along! We have already covered knitting the cable strip (and how to read cable charts). Next week we will pick up stitches and start knitting down for the bottom half of the shrug. Thereafter every 2 weeks another part of the shrug process will go onto the channel. I highly recommend following the channel so you know when new videos are uploaded.
Pre-orders
We are so thankful to all of you who have pre-ordered our Kiriki embroidery kits, Handmaiden Yarns and Estonian knitting books. All of these items have been shipped and are on their way to us (or you directly from Handmaiden Yarns). Your support and trust means the world to us as we all get through these days of social distancing.
We Are Slowly Opening*
Oregon will soon enter stage 2 of opening back up. We are still cautiously staying apart but on nice days Tina has begun to meet with a few people at Central Park in Orenco Station. Weather permitting our Knit Groups can resume. Starting on Saturday Tina will be at Central Park with her crafting in tow to join up with others.
If it is warm enough but spitting a bit of rain we can hang under the gazebo on the south end of the park. If it is warm and sunny anywhere on the lawn or near the park benches is fine.
Bring your current crafting project, a chair and a beverage/snack to Central Park at Orenco Station on the following days/times:
Tuesday-Tues. 10:30-noon
First Wed of the month-1:00pm-3pm
Thurs-6:30-8:30
Sat-10:30-noon
