Join in the colorwork fun! Explore four different types of colorwork: patterned, striped, checked, and lace. The MKAL fun starts on September 1, 2016 and runs through October 31, 2016. Every week in September one clue will be released. Donâ€™t worry! There are 22 or fewer rows to work every week.

The wildflowers of Oregon are beautiful and varied. I designed this MKAL to highlight the wildflowers of Oregon. We start with a ruffled edge much like a petal.
This pattern is meant for adventurous novice knitters to experienced knitters and all those in-between.
Please read the entire pattern before beginning.
Yarn: 4 skeins CoopKnits Socks Yeah!, 231 yards, 755 Merino Wool, 25% Nylon, colors: 101 Obsidian, 104 Sphene, 106 Kunzite, 107 Beryl (approx. 100 yards of each for the small)
Needle: US 2 (2.75 mm) Hiya Hiya Circular needles or needles to obtain gauge
Gauge:8 stitches per inch (spi) and 9 rows per inch (rpi) OR 32 stitches & 36 rows to 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette
Size: 25 (28, 31) inches around, 9.5 inches wide
To alter the size: Adjust your gauge to increase or decrease the circumference of the cowl as needed.
PLEASE NOTE: Line by line written instructions are not given for this cowl. The nature of the colorwork is such that a chart is provided. The chart is very simple and should be approachable even if you have never read charts before.
